Good things have happened this season for Pacific Lutheran University when freshman Michael Cesar of Juneau is at the plate.
Four of the catcher’s 10 RBIs have tied the game or given the NCAA D3 Lutes the lead.
The former Juneau Legion Post 25 all-star has a .271 batting average and .988 fielding percentage through his first 16 games with the NCAA D2 team.
Cesar hit his first home run earlier this week in an 6-5 loss to Puget Sound.
The game was tied at 2-2 in the eighth inning until Cesar went yard to give PLU a 4-2 lead.
He ranks third on the team with 10 RBIs and seventh with 13 base hits.
