Anchorage's Gaten Davis threw 125 pitches en route to collecting his first collegiate win in a complete-game effort for Dean College of Massachusetts.

The former East Legion Post 34 ace worked all eight innings in a NCAA D3 game scheduled to go seven as Dean beat Elms College 4-3 in walk-off fashion.

The 6-foot-6 freshman right-hander struck out five and worked around seven hits and three walks.

With his team nursing a 3-1 lead after six innings, Davis gave up a pair of runs in the top of the seventh that tied the game and forced extra innings.

In the eighth inning, Davis pitched a perfect inning and struck out the final batter he faced.

He improved to 1-1 with a save and 4.11 ERA in 11 appearances. He has 27 strikeouts in 30.2 innings.

Davis has a 2.15 ERA over his last two starts.
