Hendricks pitches best game of Buena Vista career

Ketchikan’s Casey Hendricks pitched the best game of his Buena Vista University career but settled for a no decision in a 7-5 loss to Macalester in Tucson, Arizona.


The junior right-hander struck out a career-high seven batters in a career-best 5.1 innings, leaving the game in the sixth inning with his team nursing a 3-2 lead.


The former Ketchikan Legion Post 3 pitcher allowed just three hits, one earned run and one walk.


Twelve of his 15 career games have come out of the bullpen. His longest previous career-long appearance was 3.2 innings.
