Last summer in Alaska, Dylan Montagna of Anchorage was arguably the state’s most prolific power hitter.

He’s now turning into one at Hibbing Community College in Minnesota.

The freshman first baseman hit his first home run, doubled and drove in four runs in a 15-12 victory over Dakota in NJCAA action.

The former Dimond Legion Post 21 all-star has three extra-base hits and eight RBIs in his last three games.

He is 8-for-16 with four walks on the season.

Last year, Montagna won the Big Stick Award for the Cook Inlet Conference and BP Invitational.
