Robertson, Graham have been big this year for Dawson

Dawson Community College has found a gold mine with Wasilla Legion Post 35.


Freshmen Austin Robertson and Kyle Graham have played pivotal roles this season to help the Bucs reach the Region 13 Tournament for the first time since 2016.


Robertson has emerged as the team’s best pitcher and Graham has been a reliable outfielder at the plate and in the field.


Robertson has started 8 of 10 games and posted a team-best 5 wins, 50 innings and 49 strikeouts.


He’s been lights out of his last three appearances, throwing complete games in each outing and winning two of them. He’s got a 2.00 ERA over his last 21 innings.


Graham has played in 33 of the team’s 38 games. His .244 batting average is tops among the three batters on the team from Alaska.


He’s got four 2-hit games and three more with 2 RBIs or more.


Graham has scored 15 runs, driving in 13 runs and stolen 3 bags.


He’s got a .932 fielding percentage and an assist on 44 total chances.
