Kenai’s Paul Steffensen had 3 hits in back-to-back games for the Mesa Community College Thunderbirds to raise his season batting average to .358.


This was the fifth time the sophomore outfielder had 3 hits in 35 games.


He has base hits in 15 of his last 17 games and is 44-for-123 at the plate overall.


The former Kenai Legion Post 20 outfielder is a career .383 hitter in 91 games dating to last season.


Of his 130 hits, 38 have gone for extra bases on 20 doubles, 12 triples and 6 home runs.
