Philip Wall of Juneau reached 10 strikeouts for the first time this summer in the Sunset League as he helped the So Cal Shepherds maintain their slim lead in the South Division.


The right-hander pitched a season-high eight innings to highlight a 13-2 win over the Orange County Legends in California.


Wall, of Thunder Mountain High fame, lowered his season ERA to 2.09 in 43 innings.


He has six wins – the rest of the staff has nine.


Wall leads the team in winning decisions, ERA, innings and strikeouts (27).
